ABN AMRO - Banco Real launch of virtual environment in Brazil
Banco ABN AMRO Real has launched a new sustainability website with a difference. It includes a virtual environment which allows visitors to discover simple ways to make their home or company more environmentally or people friendly. The site is in Portuguese only but Banco Real is already planning to release a shortened, English version by the end of this year.
With the new site, Banco Real – ABN AMRO’s Brazilian subsidiary – has found a novel way to give visitors an insight into what sustainability really means in their everyday lives both at work and at home. By clicking on arrows in a virtual office or house, the site’s users can access pop-up screens that give sustainability tips for making their homes or companies more environmentally friendly or ‘people friendly’. They can also send e-mail invitations to their friends or colleagues to come and take a look.
In June, Banco ABN AMRO Real was named “Emerging Markets Bank of the Year’ in the Financial Times Sustainable Banking Awards.
